Steve and Marilee’s Adventure

This all started in January 2018 when a California Brown Towhee nested in our Camellia tree and had babies.  Marilee watched the parents raise their young and she fell in love with birdwatching.  
She started taking pictures of the birds and challenged me to take a better picture than hers. Birding is a perfect match for us as it gets us out in nature together.  

Steve enjoys the hunt and capturing  the birds with the camera.  Marilee has amazing hearing and can locate and  distinguish the different birds by their songs and sounds.  

Steve has good peripheral vision and finds many of the birds just by looking around. This site was created so we could document all the different species we have discovered on our journey in birding.
